We raised money, to help you be more remarkable.

We raised money, to help you be more remarkable.

Today we’re announcing we have raised $12M in new funding. The pre-emptive round was led by Blackbird Ventures with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners and Southern Cross Venture Partners, all of whom are existing investors in Autopilot. It’s a privilege to have such a supportive group of investors who believe in our vision.

Our Vision of Remarkable Marketing

I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about that vision. Why we do what we do, what we intend to do with this new capital, and what we’re releasing today. We believe in helping marketers create remarkable experiences for their customers. We often refer to this internally as marketing that doesn’t feel like marketing. It’s the Amazon shopping experience, the Virgin America lighting and mood music, or Netflix checking to see if you’re still watching. These companies delight you with personal and contextual experiences that are forever memorable. They also share one thing in common: they obsess over the customer journey. [shareable text=“Obsess over the customer journey and create marketing that doesn’t feel like marketing.” shareable-text=“Obsess over the customer journey and create marketing that doesn’t feel like marketing via @AutopilotUS” hashtags=“”] There is a seismic shift happening now towards customer journey marketing being led by top performing marketers. They have realized that in order to win high paying customers, they need to move beyond fixating purely on acquisition and instead focus on the entire customer journey and the experience they are creating. But to do this isn’t as easy as it might sound, as the modern marketer is faced with a number of hurdles. To design remarkable customer experiences, you need to be able to:

  • organize and segment customer information from a number of sources across the customer lifecycle;

  • design personal and contextual multi-channel journeys across the customer lifecycle; and

  • be empowered with intelligent, predictive insights into customer information, journey performance and knowledge of where and when to invest.

This is why we created Autopilot. These are the three problems we are trying to solve, while making easy things easy and hard things achievable. Our sole reason for existing is to help you understand the people that matter most to your business and to enable you to design remarkable, memorable customer journeys. To us, that means delivering a product that is accessible, visual, open, affordable, and yes, fun to use. The new funds will be used to scale our team across all departments, allowing us to continue to deliver on our vision and product roadmap faster, while providing a better experience to you, our customers, partners, and community. Over the coming months we have a lot more coming, all of which is driven by not only our vision, but most importantly feedback from the community.

Announcing Insights

Insights Today we’re introducing Insights, an app that makes it easy to track goals and optimize journey performance. Built right into the Autopilot canvas, Insights allows you to set and visualize your goals and key metrics, and to unearth which messages are working. Top marketers are constantly testing and iterating their journeys to find new ways of delighting (and converting) their audience. Up until now, measuring journey performance beyond email clicks has been cumbersome. We want to make it “dead easy” to track KPIs in real time and send targeted communications that drive results. Also - visit the new Insights microsite here.

And a big thank you…

Finally, I want to thank our remarkable customers, team, investors, and friends of Autopilot. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with you so far and are extremely excited about what is to come. Here’s to remarkable marketing!
